Bank Holiday : There is a long list of bank holidays in the remaining 15 days of October. During this period, banks will remain closed for 11 days across different states due to various festivals and Sundays. Major festivals such as Dhanteras, Kati Bihu, Chhoti Diwali, Badi Diwali, Deepavali, Govardhan Puja, Chhath Puja, and Bhai Dooj fall during this time. Hence, customers are advised to complete their important banking tasks in advance to avoid inconvenience during the holidays. However, online banking, ATMs, and UPI services will continue to function as usual.

18 October 2025 : Banks will remain closed in Assam on account of Kati Bihu.
19 October – Sunday
20 October 2025 : Banks will remain closed due to Diwali (Deepavali), Naraka Chaturdashi, and Kali Puja in the following states:
Tripura, Gujarat, Mizoram, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Chandigarh, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Assam, Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Nagaland, West Bengal, Delhi, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh, and Andhra Pradesh.
21 October 2025 : Banks in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Sikkim, Manipur, Jammu, and Srinagar will remain closed due to Diwali Amavasya, Laxmi Puja, and Govardhan Puja.
22 October 2025 : Banks in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar will be closed on the occasion of Diwali, Vikram Samvat New Year, Govardhan Puja, and Balipadyami.
23 October 2025 : Banks will remain closed in Gujarat, Sikkim, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Himachal Pradesh for Bhai Dooj, Chitragupta Jayanti, Laxmi Puja, Bhratri Dwitiya, and Ningol Chakouba.
25 October – Fourth Saturday
26 October – Sunday
27 October 2025 : Banks in West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand will remain closed on account of Chhath Puja (Evening Arghya).
28 October 2025 : Banks in Bihar and Jharkhand will remain closed on Chhath Puja (Morning Arghya).
31 October 2025: Banks in Gujarat will remain closed to mark Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Jayanti.
